Barça defender Jules Kounde: The first goal we have to commit a foul
The Frenchman returned to the starting lineup to face Real Madrid on Sunday
Barcelona defender Jules Kounde bemoaned his side's failure to deal with Real Madrid's transitions after they fell to a 3-1 Clasico defeat on Sunday.
Kounde said Barça should have made fouls in the build-up to goals from Karim Benzema and Fede Valverde, which handed Madrid a two-goal lead at the break.
"Really disappointed," Kounde said to DAZN. "We have not played poorly, but in the first half we slipped up where they are strong, in the transitions.
"We should have made the foul to avoid the first goal and the second is the same. That's the strength of Madrid. Two chances, two goals. We have to learn that."
Ferran Torres pulled a goal back for Barça late on but a 90th minute penalty, converted by Rodrygo, sealed the three points for Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
