Many Valenca fans came to Milan which was a coronavirus hotspot

Giorgi Gori did not bite his tongue. The mayor of Bergamo, one of the most coronavirus hit places, gave an interview on social media in which he spoke about the Champions League clash between Atalanta and Valencia in Milan.

"If the virus was already circulating, the 40,000 fans who came to the San Siro were infected. It was a biological bomb. Nobody knew the virus was among us already. Many came to that group match and got the virus that night. It goes from one to others."

Various players also suffered. Up to 35 per cent of Valencia's first team squad and staff got the virus, with Garay, Gaya and Mangala among those who have been named. The rest have stayed anonymous.
