Juventus 3-2 Porto (4-4 agg): Away goals triumph for Porto in thriller

Amazing game settled by away goals as Cristiano crashes out

Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus crashed out of the Champions League in the last 16 as they were turned by 10-man Porto on Tuesday.

The Italians won 3-2 but lost on away goals as Porto progressed to the quarter-finals.

Sergio Oliveira sent the visitors ahead from the penalty spot but Federico Chiesa’s double sent the game to extra-time.

Porto played most of the second half and added period with 10 men after Mehdi Taremi saw a second yellow for kicking the ball away.

Pepe was gargantuan at the back as the visitors refused to cave in and Oliveira drilled a low free kick through Ronaldo’s legs and past Szczesny to effectively send his team through.

Adrien Rabiot headed in moments later for Juve but they still needed one more to progress and it did not come, with Pepe repeatedly cleaning up at the back.

Truly great entertainment, unless you are a sweat-drenched hyperventilating fan of either side.
