Italy is at the centre of the Covid-19 outbreak in Europe and is on lockdown

The owner of Fiorentina, Rocco Commisso, has announced that up to 10 people at the Italian club have tested positive for coronavirus, with three of them in hospital.

Among those infected are three players: the forward Patrick Cutrone, Argentine defender German Pezzella and Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic.

"The situation is worsening at Fiorentina," Commisso told Sky Sport Italia. "At the club we have about ten people affected by this unfortunate disease, three members of staff are in hospital," Commisso told Sky Sport Italia from the United States.

Meanwhile, fellow Italian side Brescia are also in quarantine after two cases were detected at the club.

Italian football is currently suspended until April 3 due to the outbreak but it the delay is expected to go on even longer as the country grapples to deal with Europe's worst spread of the virus.
