The Serie A side need to offset the forward's arrival with a sale first in order to avoid FFP sanctions

Despite the ongoing crisis at Serie A side Roma, who have recently sacked Gianluca Petrachi as their director of football, hasn't stopped their pursuit of signing Pedro Rodriguez. The Spanish winger is ready to leave Chelsea and join the Italian giants but the transfer can't be completed until the club secures the sale of someone first.

Pedro, who came through La Masia and won various titles with FC Barcelona, has already agreed terms on a two-year deal, according to 'TuttoMercato'. He's also someone the current Roma coach, Paulo Fonseca, has personally asked for.

STALLED

Roma's issues are with Financial Fair Play. The main shareholder, Pallotta, has insisted that a player must be sold first in order to balance the books. This means Pedro must wait a few more days before confirming his next club.

Fonseca actually spoke with Pedro earlier in the week to reassure the forward he was a key part of their plans for next season.
