Cristiano Ronaldo went to Italy to break records. In Saturday's Turin derby against Torino, the Juventus striker became the first player to score 25 goals in a Serie A season for Juve since 1961, almost 60 years.

Ronaldo scored a free-kick in the 61st minute of the game. It was the first free-kick he has scored for Juve in an official game in 43 attempts.

It was the 729th goal of Ronaldo's career and also saw him pass 25 goals in a league season for a third club in a third different country, having previously done it in England and Spain with Manchester United and Real Madrid respectively.

Ronaldo also set up a goal in the 4-1 win against Torino, for teammate Paulo Dybala.

The derby served to break various records. In the same game, goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon overtook Paolo Maldini as the player with most games played in Serie A -- reaching 648 at the age of 42.

El derbi sirvió para romper varios récords. En el mismo partido, el cancerbero de la Juventus, Gianluigi Buffon, superó a Paolo Maldini como jugador con más partidos en la Serie A con 648, a los 42 años.
