Marlon: "The philosophy at Sassuolo is similar to the one at Barça"
The Brazilian had a smile on his face after signing for the Italian side and talked about the two players he aspires to be as good as
Marlon is enjoying his first few days as Sassuolo player. In his press conference, the former Barça defender claimed the philosophy at the Italian club is "similiar" that of Barcelona.
Although Barça retain an option to buy back the player, Marlon is viewed as a key signing by the Italian side. "I'm very happy to be at his club. I'm grateful to everyone for the trust they've placed in me. I want to show my worth as soon as possible," declared the player.
Marlon, who has chosen the number '2' shirt, believes Italy is the perfect place for him to continue his development. In regards to the competition itself he said: "A lot of Brazilian defenders have been successful in Serie A." Marlon mentioned that Thiago Silva and Sergio Ramos are two players he admires the most in the game. "One day I'd like to reach their level," concluded Sassuolo's new player.
