Juventus sign Maurizio Sarri from Chelsea
The coach is heading to Turin where he will manage Cristiano Ronaldo
Maurizio Sarri has left Chelsea and signed for Juventus on a three-year deal, replacing previous coach Massimiliano Allegri who left at the end of the season.
Chelsea are set to receive between 5-7 million euros from Juve for the coach, who took the Blues back to the Champions League and won the Europa League.
"In talks we had following the Europa League final, Maurizio made it clear how strongly he desired to return to his native country, explaining that his reasons for wanting to return to work in Italy were significant," said Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia.
"He also believed it important to be nearer his family, and for the well-being of his elderly parents he felt he needed to live closer to them at this point."
