Pep Guardiola denies ever considering the Brazil job

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has denied that he had any intention of managing the Brazilian national team.

The Catalan coach added that Brazil "have to be coached by a Brazilian. A Brazilian that knows his football. This is the best [option]," during a press conference ahead of the new Bundesliga season. Brazil "has always had and always will have very good coaches."

Barcelona defender Dani Alves stated in July on 'Bola da Vez' that Pep Guardiola had the chance to take charge of the Brazilian national team during the 2014 World Cup, but he rejected the opportunity.

Guardiola reiterated that "I have never spoken with anybody from the Brazilian federation." He has a contract with Bayern until the 30th of June 2016.
