Matthaus blasts Thiago Alcántara and tells Bayern Munich to sell him
Lothar Matthaus is not happy with the midfielder and says Bayern should sell him if they get a good offer
Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthaus has hit out at Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara for his recent performances and believes the Bavarian club should sell him if they get a good offer.
Bayern lost 3-1 in the German Cup final against Eintracht and Thiago was annoyed at being substituted.
"Thiago hasn't made the difference in the big games," Matthaus told Sport Bild.
"I actually think he's good but he's been a shadow of his former self recently.
"Thiago has disappointed me in the past few weeks. I don't know where his head is. With these performances, he's not a player for Bayern Munich.
"If a suitable offer is on the table, then Bayern should think about it."
