Jovic matches Madrid haul in just 28 minutes on second Frankfurt debut

The striker scored two goals on Sunday, as many as he managed in 18 months with Madrid

Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic is back where he feels at home, in the Bundesliga.

After failing to break into the Madrid side, the Serbian striker decided to return to Frankfurt on loan this week.

Making his first appearance since leaving the club to sign for Madrid in 2019, he took just 10 minutes to make his mark.

Jovic was brought on in the 65th minute with the score at 1-1 and in the 75th minute he scored with a volley.

In added time at the end of the game, he added another, making it two goals in 28 minutes on the pitch as Frankfurt beat Schalke 3-1.

This season, in 208 minutes on the pitch, Jovic hadn't scored a single goal for Zinedine Zidane's Madrid.

In total, he's made 32 appearances for Los Blancos since 2019, scoring two goals and setting up two more.

It took him less than half an hour back in Germany to match those goal-scoring figures.
