The midfielder has played for the Bavarians since 2015 but might try his luck elsewhere

Joshua Kimmich has opened the door to playing elsewhere than the Bundesliga. Speaking to So Foot, he said: “It would be an interesting challenge. I don’t know what will happen in a few years, we will see.”

The German is a key part of Julian Nagelsmann’s system but is open to other things.

“I’m having a lot of fun here but in some place in my head exists this professional and personal challenge of discovering new horizons.“

The former Leipzig and Stuttgart player arrived at Bayern in 2015 under Pep Guardiola and his great versatility made him a key player quickly.

He says he did not get along with Carlo Ancelotti while he was at Bayern. “That was when I did not play as much as I liked, I thought about leaving for a while. Then Carlo left and I became a fixture again, we won everything and the issue never came up again.”
