Coutinho: "Barça is history now, I hope to be at Bayern for many years"
During the presentation at his new club, Coutinho is refusing to think about a Barcelona return
Philippe Coutinho has been presented as a new Bayern Munich player after Barça agreed terms on an €8.5m loan deal. In his first comments, the Brazilian made it clear he doesn't want to return to Barcelona next summer.
“In Barcelona, a lot of things did not turn out as we had imagined. But this is now history. I hope to stay here for a long time and win many titles.”
Coutinho is clearly frustrated at how things turned out in Spain and now wants to focus on the next chapter at Bayern, despite it only being a loan deal.
"I've earned experience, won titles and learnt a lot, but now I need to focus on Bayern," is what Coutinho said about Barça. "I didn't have any doubts when the call from Bayern came in. But when they showed me their project I wanted to come straight away."
