The Italian coach will be sacked after the 3-0 loss in Paris

Thomas Tuchel has been mentioned as a possible replacement

Bayern Munich's 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain is set to have severe consequences for coach Carlo Ancelotti.

After the strong comments made by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge after the game, an announcment on Ancelotti's future could be made as early as Thursday afternoon, according to Sport BILD.

"It was a bitter defeat and one we must talk about," Rummenigge  said. "And one we must analyse. And one from which we have to draw our consequences.

"What we've seen tonight was not Bayern Munich. I believe that we can all agree on this. It's important we get our act together soon and show we are Bayern Munich, a team which has made a great stir in Europe and Germany in recent years."

In the case that Ancelotti is sacked, Bayern would opt for Willy Sagnol as the internal solution while the look for a new coach.

Former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel could be in the running, as could Hoffenheim boss Julian Nagelsmann.
