Alvaro Morata's future is up in the air. The Chelsea forward has interest around Europe and Bild have reported on Wednesday that Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs chasing the Spain international.
According to the German newspaper, Dortmund want to make five signings this summer: three defenders, one midfielder and a top-level striker. Morata, 25 and with a deal at Chelsea until 2022, would fit the profile of player they're looking for.
Dortmund could pay 80 million euros and are ready to open talks with Chelsea, who they have a good relationship with after loaning Michy Batshuayi from them this season. The Belgian scored seven goals in 10 games before injury ended his season early.
But they will have to work hard to convince the player because, among others, they face competition from Juventus. The Italian champions believe that both Higuaín and Mandzukic could leave this summer and are looking at Morata as a replacement, a player who previously spent two years at the club.
