Setien's side will travel on Sunday and pass the afternoon in a hotel in Madrid

Barcelona have decided to travel on the day of the game as they prepare for Sunday's crunch Clasico against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Catalans returned to the top of the league last weekend, moving ahead of Madrid by two points as Zinedine Zidane's side went down to Levante.

Despite the importance of the game in the La Liga title race, Barça intend to keep their preparation as normal as possible, which includes flying the morning before the game as they would for most away matches.

The players will leave the training ground at 10.15am and will fly towards the Spanish capital from el Prat on a flight scheduled to leave at 11.00am.

Quique Setien's side should arrive in Madrid at around 12.20pm. They will then head to the hotel the Eurostars Madrid Tower where they will rest ahead of the game.

They will then get a bus to the Bernabeu two hours ahead of the game and will return to Barcelona immediately after the final whistle, with a flight planned for 01.15am.
