Once Arthur is out, the club will look to shift on Rakitic and Vidal too

Barcelona will try and find exits for Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitic in the transfer window. The Chilean and Croatian are in the firing line as Barcelona look to bring down their average age and salary bill.

The coronavirus pandemic has accelerated Barcelona's need to get some incomings, especially if they want to bring players in to the club. Miralem Pjanic is set to arrive as part of a trade for Arthur Melo, along with 10m euros.

Pjanic would join Frenkie de Jong in midfield, along with Sergio Busquets, with Riqui Puig and Carles Alena possibly included in the squad too for next season.

Rakitic is 32 and Vidal 33, and both have contracts that go up until the end of 2021. They have been in and out of the side.

Ivan has played 1648 minutes in 35 games, scoring one goal and providing four assists. Vidal has 1655 minutes, scoring seven goals and giving three assists.

Rakitic likes the idea of moving back to Seville, despite the economic complications. Vidal has been linked with Inter Milan. We will see where they end up.
