Xavi's secret weapon against Eintracht could be Sergino Dest
The US full-back is fit and trained well so could feature against the Germans
Absent in the first leg because of physical problems, Sergino Dest is one of the big returning names for the second leg of the Europa League clash with Eintracht Frankfurt. The American player is ready to be use if Xavi wants. The coach says the defender is feeling good and is an option.
Without a doubt he could be useful to stop the Germans’s rapid transitions that Barcelona suffered in Frankfurt. Araujo was at right-back but if he is moved back to the centre and Dest comes in, it could be good for the Catalans.
It’s not ideal that he’s not played since March 17 against Galatasaray, but he has trained at 100 per cent.
Sergino’s return will be important above all if Pique does not get back in time. Otherwise it leaves few defensive options.
