The coach spoke to the media ahead of the Joan Gamper Trophy

Barcelona trained for the last time ahead the Joan Gamper Trophy. The coach Xavi Hernandez spoke to the media.

“The team is doing very well, seeing the training sessions, we have very good feelings. Intensity, rhythm. After the tour, which was very positive. We have trained this week, in the heat, but it is what it is. We’ve generated a lot of excitement, we saw it at Robert’s presentation. We want to make people happy.”

The coach said “we need the fans, their hope is essential. After various years without playing the fans at the Gamper, it will be very positive. We will try and make them proud of the team.”

On Dani Alves, he said: “It will be good to share out the minutes and say goodbye to Dani Alves. He deserves it. When I told him that he had to leave the club, I told him he deserved a homage. I spoke with the president about it to make it a reality.”
