Barcelona won at El Sadar, but it was a hard-fought victory, thanks to a penalty converted by Robert Lewandowski. They now have ten points out of twelve possible in the early stages of the league season before the first international break. Xavi acknowledged the hard-fought win against Osasuna, a team that has always posed problems for Barcelona.

"We lacked game, patience, and generating more in attack. We had to roll up our sleeves, we suffered, but we earned it. It's always very difficult at El Sadar. I am pleased with the team's attitude. They are a very intense and direct team," explained Xavi, who also expressed a desire for more width on the wings: "They defended well inside, and we missed the one-on-one skills of Lamine and Balde. When we had possession, we lacked more creativity in the attack, but in this stadium, it's tough for everyone."

The Barcelona coach also assessed the debut of Cancelo: "With him, we can have more presence in the middle and a direct pass from the center-back to the winger. We aimed to control the midfield."

He also commented on Joao Félix's debut, praising his attitude: "Whether as a forward or on the left wing, he can offer us a lot. I liked the attitude of both of them. How they helped and all the substitutions that came in. They can contribute a lot, but I would highlight the attitude they brought to the team."
