Xavi: We have to be self-critical, we lost points because of our mistakes
The coach was not impressed with the point at Granada on Saturday in La Liga
Xavi Hernandez said he was angry with the team’s 1-1 draw at Granada.
“We lacked depth, then the goal came, that’s the hardest thing and after that it was the same thing as what happened in Pamplona. The situation needed patience. Having the ball. Playing in the opponent’s half, but we lost silly balls. We have to be self-critical. They were our errors. Before the red card we could have killed it off and done more to win. The game could have been sealed with a 2-0. We have to be self-critical and grow. They are things we train on but it’s hard for us to do them.”
On Gavi’s red, he said: “I don’t talk about the ref, but the consequences of the red card. You have a man less and have to retreat, and it’s hard for us to do that. We suffered on corners and free kicks. We lost two points because of our errors.”
