Xavi pushes the Barça board to sign a right-back

Xavi Hernández is more than satisfied with the squad that Barça has put together for him. He boasts one of the most competitive dressing rooms in European soccer, one that can deliver titles.

Xavi's targets for almost every position have been brought in, with the last reinforcements likely to be Bernardo Silva and Marcos Alonso. However, the coach remains concerned about the right-back position.

In the Gamper tie, he deployed Sergi Roberto in this position and he performed well. The alternative, Dest, has been found lacking by Xavi, and Barça are looking to sell him, but he is not ruled out just yet.

Xavi hopes to sell the American, and sign on a more defence-minded full-back. Xavi does understand that a lot of money has already been invested. If, in the end, this request does not fly, he is likely to remain content with what he has. Only time will tell how this situation will unfold.
