Xavi: On Monday we will decide what we do with Ansu Fati
The coach was sad about the latest injury and says the player is very affected
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez says that forward Ansu Fati is sad after his new hamstring injury. “Ansu Fati is very affected, it’s a difficult situation. We had a meeting with the family because it’s a new relapse.”
The striker will be out for around two months and Xavi explained in his press conference that the medical team had given Ansu the green light to play a little more than 30 minutes against Athletic, but the game went to extra time.
“They are situations you can’t control and we’ll make a recovery plan. On Monday we’ll decide what we do with Ansu Fati.” He might need surgery on the hamstring.
“We want to recover him mentally. Give him love because now is a difficult moment and we need him. It affects us all, although he’s the main person affected. We want him never to get injured again.”
