Xavi asks Busquets to stay for another year at Barca
The midfielder is out of contract in the summer and has MLS offers
Barca are planning their new project and Xavi thinks the midfield is an area that needs a look.
He understands the difficulties the club are in economically in terms of signings so would like Sergio Busquets to stay for one more season, if the Spaniard accepts a pay cut to do so.
There won't be much money to sign a replacement and Busquets is still a regular starter.
Xavi would like Zubimendi but he will cost 60 million euros.
Busquets has offers from the MLS but Xavi has told him that he would like him stay for another year, or at least six months more, until January 2024.
It will all depend on if he wants to - and then if he will reduce his salary.
