Abde has shone on loan at Osasuna this season and is wanted around Europe

Ez Abde has earned his place as one of the most desirable players on the transfer market this summer. Barcelona's Moroccan winger has taken advantage of his loan spell at Osasuna to make great progress and the number of clubs knocking on his door is increasing. He will not be lacking options in what promised to be a crucial summer for the player's future.

The last team to join the list of suitors is Bayer Leverkusen. They will lose one of their forwards, Moussa Diaby, Amine Adli or both, and their sporting directors have taken note of Abde's performances, who they see as having the quality to succeed in the Bundesliga.

Leverkusen, coached by Xabi Alonso, have been one of the sensations in the second half of the season. The Spanish coach managed to get them back on track and even caught the attention of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, who has him on his agenda in case he has to dispense with Carlo Ancelotti in the future.

Abde is awaiting Barça's decision on him. The Catalan club value the growth of the winger.

"He has matured a lot. It has been good for him to go to Osasuna. I am very happy. He has made a difference in many matches. I see a very big talent to succeed at Barcelona. It will only depend on his mentality. He has the quality," said Xavi in a press conference.

But despite his excellent progression, Xavi and Barca will opt to make money. They know he has a market and that big offers will arrive for him. Despite his good season, Xavi does not see him as a starter in his team and, in the event that he needs to reinforce on the wing in case Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres or Raphinha leave, he would prefer to exercise the option to buy Yannick Carrasco, who is more experienced.

Everything will depend on how the market evolves and if Barça can finally find the margin in the salary cap. In any case, the decision on what to do with Abde should not take long because the club needs to start raising money. They must choose an option that the player likes as well as being financially good for them. The club could also put a clause in place so as not to lose control of the player.
