Wolves offer 30m plus Ruben Neves for Ansu Fati

The English club are trying to sign the Jorge Mendes player, per Relevo

Ansu Fati's exit operation is underway. And more advanced than you might think. The player's agent, Jorge Mendes, has already formalised an offer for the player in a deal with Wolverhampton, Relevo claim.

SPORT can explain that the proposal is for 30 million euros plus Rúben Neves, who is said to have an agreement with Barça. In total, more than 60 million euros of profit for the Blaugrana club, but for now everything is at a standstill.

Mendes has tried to move the market for Ansu in the Premier League. The all-powerful agent has been sounding out the player's options in the best clubs in England, but has not had an affirmative response. Only Manchester United have shown some interest, but the figures they would be willing to come up with would not be enough. Barça would only be open to selling him for a figure in the tens of millions and, for that reason, Mendes has turned to Wolverhampton, a club he 'controls' to perfection.

The proposal that Mendes has made to Barça is 30 million plus Rúben Neves, whose final valuation could be high. There would be no possibility of choosing another player, but the calculation of the profit before June 30 would help the Blaugrana club a lot to be able to lower their salary limit and even make a profit in this financial year. Barça are studying the proposal but everything is in the hands of the player, who must make a decision.

And that is why Jorge Mendes travelled to Barcelona this week to meet with Ansu and his family. He explained to them how the market was moving and defended the option of Wolverhampton. It is not a top-level club, but Mendes understands that it could be a stepping stone for the Blaugrana youth player to establish himself in the Premier League before going to one of the big clubs. The sporting proposal did not convince Ansu's entourage and, for that reason, his father assured after the meeting that he was not thinking of moving from Barça.

But all is not settled, far from it, because Barça is interested in listening to Wolves and needs to formalise this or a similar operation just after the end of the season. The club, for now, has not spoken to Ansu but will do so when the Blaugrana win the championship. And it is very likely that Xavi Hernandez will make his situation clear for next season. That is, he will play very little if he stays. And then Ansu will have to make a decision.

Jorge Mendes has done his job and the operation is underway. If it is finally done, Rúben Neves would arrive at Barça and other midfielders desired by the coaching staff would not come. This is an option that Xavi does not particularly like, but the coach knows inevitably they will have to carry out some operations rather than others because of the financial situation.
