Willian, closer to Barcelona thanks to Philippe Coutinho
The Barca midfielder spoke to the Chelsea man about a move during the World Cup
Barcelona are close to signing Willian. And that is partly thanks to do with Philippe Coutinho. Barca's No 14 spoke to the Chelsea player a lot about a potential move during the World Cup in Russia.
They spent a month together in Russia and according to Brazilian media Coutinho convinced Willian to join him at Barcelona.
After five seasons at Stamford Bridge Willian is ready to leave and Barcelona want to sign him. Coutinho has opened the doors to Willian in another way too, now he has received his EU passport. Thanks to that Barca won't have a problem in signing Willian, who will occupy a non-EU spot.
Barcelona have been sorting out Coutinho's passport with Portugal for months. Now he has double nationality thanks to his marriage.
