Why did Pjanic not play for Juve against Atalanta?

Miralem Pjanic was one of the notable absences that Juventus presented in their clash against Atalanta in Serie A. He did not play a single minute. His signing for Barcelona was speculated to be the reason but Maurizio Sarri, Juve coach, revealed the real reason.
"Pjanic was not feeling well and we took the decision because we didn't want to run the risk of him getting a muscular injury," said Sarri.
"I have no doubts that we didn't have a physical problem in Milan, it was a mental problem. This night we were worse physically in comparison to Milan, but we did well with the team having a brilliant second half."
Sarri insisted that the Bosnian "had muscular fatigue and that's why we didn't want to risk him."
"We knew it was going to be hard but this night is a step towards our objective," wrote Pjanic after Juve's draw with Atalanta.
