Who's been the best of Barcelona's four summer signings?

Lenglet, Arthur, Arturo Vidal and Malcom all joined Barça this year

Barcelona have just made Colombian defender Jeison Murillo their fifth signing of the season. Before him, the Catalan club signed Clement Lenglet, Arthur Melo, Arturo Vidal and Malcom in the summer.

Four months into the season, SPORT take a look at how the new boys have done at Camp Nou...

LENGLET: TAKING HIS CHANCE

The Frenchman arrived as a backup centre-back but has been thrust into the action. It wasn't easy at first and there were tough moments -- such as his unjust sending off against Girona.

But he stepped forward when he was most needed. Injuries to Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen propelled him into the side, alongside Gerard Pique, and he's not looked back. Since the win over Tottenham at Wembley, he has grown.

Lenglet's the summer signing who's played the most minutes -- by a distance -- although Vidal has played one more game than him.

Like Lenglet, the start was tough for Vidal. He was resigned to the bench and took his frustration out on social media, but things have since improved.

The Chilean's importance has grown as the season has progressed. He has started the last five league games and has scored twice (against Real Madrid and Real Betis) and created three more (all for Lionel Messi, against Girona, Betis and Levante).

In part, he has taken advantage of an injury to another new player, with Arthur's absence allowing him the chance to start a number of games.

Arthur Melo is surely the signing of the season so far. It's great watching him play with the ball at his feet. His similarity to Xavi is unquestionable -- everyone has made it, even Messi.

Until an injury in November, he was becoming a key player in Barça's midfield. However, he's taken a backstep in recent weeks as he eases himself back into action. He had played a lot of football in the calendar year, having joined Barça in the middle of the Brazilian season. He's hardly had a break.

malcom: GLIMPSES

Games played:  9

(5 Liga / 2 Champions / 2 Copa del Rey)

Minutes: 296

2 goals

Malcom de Oliveira is the signing that has made the smallest impact so far, despite being the most expensive at 41 million euros. Coach Ernesto Valverde was not behind the signing and it's told. It's been a handicap the Brazilian is struggling to overcome.

He has played just nine times, 296 minutes, but he's always done well and worked hard when given a chance.

However, he's started just once in La Liga -- and with little luck. Barça were beaten by Real Betis. His big night came at the San Siro, when he opened the scoring against Inter. Injuries have also sidelined him for over a month during the campaign so far.
