Barca are interested in the right back whom they share with Betis
Emerson Aparecido Leite De Souza Junior has been flying at Real Betis, where he is playing with the permission of Barcelona. There is speculation that the Catalans could bring the right-back in earlier than planned, in 2021.
If that happens, Barcelona would have to compensate Betis, to the tune of 12 million euros. Three million stipulated and nine more, corresponding to the six that Betis put forward this summer when they took half his rights, and three more as a formation fee.
If Barcelona bring the the Brazil international to Camp Nou they would basically double Betis’s investment for the 20 year old. With Wague not gaining Barcelona’s confidence, they may do so.
