What Barça target Marco Verratti told PSG directors
The Italian international wants to leave for Barcelona this summer
However, he will stay if PSG keep promises and "sign champions"
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti met with the club this week to tell them of his desire to leave for Barcelona this summer.
Verratti is not happy with how the project at the club has developed and feels he will have a bigger chance of success if he moves to Camp Nou.
Once again, his request was met with a firm 'no' from PSG, who do not want to sell him and know that he is an important part of Unai Emery's plans.
However, in quotes to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' he's said he would be willing to stay if certain conditions were met.
“I don’t need to leave at all costs, but this time I want to see if Paris Saint-Germain buy champions,” he said.
“If that does happen, then I’d be happy to remain. Every year they say that they’ll build a great team, but then we saw the results. Promises are not enough.
“If this time PSG back up what they say, then I’ll be happy to stay. Nobody is forcing me to leave, after all.”
