Victor Valdes, a step away from returning to Barcelona

He needs to meet the president Bartomeu to seal his return to Barca as Juvenil A coach

The former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is very close to returning to the club. He would arrive as the Juvenil A coach.

Valdes’s return is pending a chat between him and president Josep Maria Bartomeu. It was Bartomeu who mentioned the negotiations during the presentation of Frenkie De Jong.

Values was at Barcelona as first team keeper from 2002 until 2014, when he left for Manchester United, Standard Liege and Middlesborough, where he retired.

Last season he was in charge of Juvenil del Moratalaz. Values will take the reins from Denis Silva.

He played 530 games for the club, winning 21 titles, including six La Liga trophies and three Champions Leagues (2006, 09, 11). With Spain he won the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 European Championships.
