Valencia, Real Sociedad and Real Betis are interested in Monchu

Barça have started receiving calls for the best young players after the B side failed to gain promotion to LaLiga Smartbank. The sporting and coaching departments are aware that there isn't enough space for the older members of the squad to join up with the senior side. They need to play at a higher level and continue their development. One of those names is the current Barça B captain Monchu. Valencia, Real Betis and Real Sociedad have all enquired about his future and it looks increasingly like he will leave this summer. Any sale would include a buy-back clause.

Monchu is one of the academy's best players. Barça have full confidence in him but they are acutely aware he needs to play more minutes at a higher level. Valencia asked for Monchu to be included in a deal involving Rodrigo Moreno in January. That transfer ultimately broke down. Barça would only allow Monchu to leave if it included a buy-back option for the next two years.

Granada and Getafe have asked about the captain's situation but neither are considered a good fit because of the football those respective sides play. Collado is another Barça B star gaining interest but he's expected to complete preseason with the senior side before a decision is made on his future.
