Valencia ask about Monchu but Koeman would prefer he completes preseason
The new Barça manager would prefer to wait before making a definitive decision on Monchu's future
FC Barcelona rate Monchu highly and Ronald Koeman would like to take a look at him during preseason before making a decision on his future. The midfielder won't form part of Barça B's squad next year because he's already proven himself ready to perform at a higher level. The decision Koeman must make is whether to include Monchu as part of his first-team squad or loan him out to a fellow top division side.
At the moment, the team who have shown the most interest are Valencia. Javi Gracia wants Monchu to improve his midfield options following the departures of Parejo and Coquelin to Villarreal. Celta Vigo are another side who are keeping tabs on Monchu's situation should he depart the Camp Nou. Barça would prefer he left on loan but they won't rule out a permanent deal as long as they retain a buy-back option.

Leo Messi will reveal the reasons behind his decision to leave Barça
Monchu isn't the only Barça B star likely to leave in the coming weeks. Akieme has been the subject of interest from Italian side Sassuolo and Collado is wanted by a host of LaLiga teams. Across the three potential sales, Barça could raise around €30m.
