Leaked audios suggest the club will cash in on the duo, who have contracts until 2023

Valencia president Anil Murthy has spoken about the futures of key players Carlos Soler and Jose Luis Gaya in audios that have been leaked by the newspaper Superdeporte.

Soler and Gaya are two of the most important players at Valencia. Both have been linked with Barcelona and both have contracts expiring in 2023.

In the recording, Murthy suggests the club will be prepared to sell them both this summer if they want to move clubs and further their careers.

On Soler, he said: "He's wanted to leave since the start of the year because he's highly ambitious. He wants to go. We have to respect that. The last thing he wants is a messy exit. He wants to leave on good terms, so his family are OK here and I respect that.... but 'bring me an offer.'"

As for Gaya, the Valencia chief understands the left-back may want to leave "because for him he's been here many years" and even though "I like this kid, we have to respect his ambition to play for the national team and in the Champions League."

Murthy added: "When I tell him that we won't make many signings, he's going think: 'What am I doing here?'"
