Valencia and Barcelona to exchange Bartra and Mustafi this summer?

Valencia and Barcelona could meet in the summer transfer market. The club owned by Peter Lim are watching which players Barça and Real Madrid will be prepared to get rid of, although for several months they have kept an eye on Marc Bartra in particular.

Meanwhile, Barça are also following Valencia. Luis Enrique and Robert Fernandez are looking for a centre-back and on the list is Los Che's Shkodran Mustafi. The German international is liked, but as of today he is not a priority.

The first to move is likely to be Valencia. Sporting director Garcia Pitarch has spoke to Bartra's representatives to see what the situation will be after this summer's European Championships. He also wanted to know what would be a reasonable price to negotiate with Barça. As for Mustafi, he's also wanted by Bundesliga and Premier League clubs, which could push his price up.

Mustafi, 24, was in Barça's orbit last season, too, when he formed a great partnership with Otamendi. This season his form has dipped, although still in his favour is his age, the lack of defenders available and his experience in La Liga.
