Upamecano rejects Arsenal offer in hope Barcelona will sign him

Dayot Upamecano has still not decided where he will play next season. For now the three things we know about the Red Bull Salzburg defender are that he will abandon the Austrian club at the end of the season, he has rejected an offer from Arsenal and he is still waiting for Barcelona to turn their interest into a formal transfer offer.
Upamecano is at the moment most likely to sign for Red Bull Leipzig, Bundesliga contenders in Germany. The 18-year-old Frenchman has a contract with Salzburg that expires in 2018 and reaching a deal between the clubs will not be a problem.
But Upamecano wants to play at Barcelona. He has his priorities sorted and the Premier League will have to wait. Clubs over Europe are interested and his references, from coach Oscar Garcia, are unbeatable. The problem is that Barcelona's offer has not yet emerged.
