Samuel Umtiti's brother and agent, Yannick Umtiti, has told foot01.com that he's waiting for an agreement between Lyon and Barcelona for the France international to move to Camp Nou next season.
The reality, Yannick Umtiti has said, is that "the [Lyon] president Jean Marie Aulas announced that there's no agreement between Lyon and Barcelona. And if there's no agreement in place, there will not be an agreement between Samuel and FC Barcelona."
Despite that, an agreement between Barça and the defender is in place and now it's just a matter of the two clubs striking a price for the transfer to go through. The total cost would be around 30 million euros, although that would include variables.
Barça are in a rush to close the signing of a central defender ahead of next season. However, they would not be able to finalise the deal and present Umtiti until he's free from his commitments with his national team - he's currently at Euro 2016 in France.
