The Barcelona defender posted a sad message on his Twitter account

Samuel Umtiti is having a tough time at Barcelona. The French defender is not playing as much as he likes, which hurts, and he has now been ruled out with another knee problem.

In a message on Instagram, he posted about is feelings, writing: "I would like to be able to return to the past, not to change things, but to relive the time when I was happy and I didn't know it."

It's a sad, reflective message that reflects the situation the centre-back is going through at Camp Nou. Above all, the injury problems that have hampered him since the 2018 World Cup.

After the break due to the coronavirus, he was on the bench against Mallorca, came on for 17 minutes against Leganes and was then suspended for the draw at Sevilla.

He was on the bench again vs. Athletic Bilbao but did play 90 minutes at Celta Vigo. However, his performance left a lot of doubts and he disappeared again when Barça played Atletico Madrid in midweek.

Not even five changes in La Liga have seen him play more minutes, while on Friday his bad luck continued when he was struck down with another knee problem.

Barça released a statement explaining that he will be out until further notice, starting with Sunday's trip to Villarreal.
