The game will either be played at Camp Nou, as planned, or in Portugal

UEFA's meeting on Wednesday did not serve to confirm a venue for the second leg of Barcelona's round of 16 Champions League tie against Napoli.

Instead, European football's governing body will wait to see how the coronavirus pandemic evolves. It will not be in July when they decide where the game, originally scheduled for Camp Nou, will take place.

However, UEFA's secretary-general, Giorgio Marchetti, did confirm that the remaining last 16 games will be played on August 7th and 8th.

It's anticipated that the games will be played at the stadiums where they are supposed to be played, although if that's not possible, they will be played in the north of Portugal, in Porto and Guimaraes.

Barça drew 1-1 with Napoli in Italy in the first leg and the second leg was due to take place in Catalonia in March when the coronavirus crisis halted football.

In addition to Barça-Napoli, Man City-Real Madrid (2-1), Juventus-Lyon (0-1) and Bayern Munich-Chelsea (3-0) also still need to be completed.

Already into the last eight, which will be played as one-off games in a tournament format in August, are Atletico Madrid, RB Leipzig, Atalanta and Paris Saint-Germain.
