Two Spanish clubs interested in Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite

The Danish hitman is of interest to other clubs in Spain and his time at Barça looks up

Martin Braithwaite has little chance of continuing at Barcelona next season. The Danish forward has two more years left on his deal and the Blaugrana know it’s hard to sell him this summer, given he’s just come back from a long injury.

The idea is to loan him for a season and hope that Braithwaite does well and then sell him next summer with a year to go on his deal. In Spain he is liked and two clubs in the country are already interested.

Xavi has made it clear that he is content with Braithwaite’s professionalism, but the reality is that he hasn’t had minutes since he’s recovered.

The competition up front is big and Barça want to make space to incorporate new players next season.

Luuk de Jong also knows he will not be staying, instead he will be going back to Sevilla for the last year of his deal there.

Valencia are one of the sides who are interested - having tried to sign him last summer too - and Celta are another club who like him; Barcelona like Celta’s left back Javi Galan too.
