The Brazilian reportedly picked up a knock in training and hasn't fully recovered from his ankle injury

Whilst PSG consider whether or not to accept the offer for Neymar to leave the club, Thomas Tuchel hasn't picked the Brazilian for their Ligue 1 opener against Nîmes.

"Neymar didn't finish the session today. He can't play tomorrow," insisted Tuchel. "Neymar is still doing a lot of individual work, mainly in the gym. He's come back from injury and started doing things on the pitch but he hasn't completed a full week with the team yet. He isn't ready for tomorrow."

Ander Herrera and Kimpembe are also out but he didn't want to be drawn on the future of Neymar. "I can't think about the transfer market too much or I would lose my mind. I've learnt you must focus on the team because it's them who need my energy and attention."

PSG's director of football, Leonardo, gave a greater insight into Neymar's future. "Negotiations are very advanced but there's still no agreement in place." He wouldn't reveal who those talks were with but it makes sense to not take any risks with a player you are looking to sell.
