The winger is having a fine time at Sporting CP this season after a poor spell with Wolves

After a rather negative year at Wolverhampton, Francisco Trincâo has regained his joy and enthusiasm in his native country. Not where he was born, in Braga, but in the capital, Lisbon. At Sporting CP, the winger has once again shown the freshness and talent that he displayed in his early days and that made Barça bid strongly for his services in 2022.

Trincâo scored three goals tonight in Sporting's hard-fought 4-3 win at Casa Pia. The striker, on loan from the Catalan giants, scored his team's first two goals and then played a decisive role with the decisive goal in the 85th minute.

That's 12 goals and three assists for the Portuguese in 43 games played this season. And FC Barcelona are rubbing their hands together with his performances. Let's review the agreement that Sporting and FC Barcelona reached last summer: Three million for the loan (plus a 1.2 million net fee) and seven million in an obligatory purchase at the end of the season to get 50% of the player's rights.

In this way, Barça will collect 10 million. And, in addition, they signed a series of buy-back options. They range between 20 and 25 million euros depending on when they want to exercise it. If they do it at the end of this season, it would obviously be cheaper.

In any case, the important thing is that the Catalan club keeps 50% of a future sale of Trincâo. Beyond the 10m that will end up entering their books for him this summer. Some names from the Premier League are already being bandied about, although the player is at ease in Portugal.
