Total chemistry between Xavi and Martin Braithwaite in their meeting
The duo see eye to eye and the Danish striker could be important this season
Xavi Hernandez said at his presentation that each player is a world unto himself. And he’s acting in that way. He’s spoken privately to each of the squad. Not just those available, but those unavailable too. Including Martin Braithwaite.
SPORT have learned that Xavi and the Danish forward had a meeting recently where they got on like a house on fire. Xavi found a Braithwaite totally motivated to get fit as quick as he can, and the Dane saw a coach who believes in him. The coach reiterated that Braithwaite’s profile will be useful for this Barca, able all for pressure up top after losing the ball.
In an interview with TV3+ Braithwaite revealed his good sensations after the chat. “When I return I will have an important role,” he said.
Xavi is hoping to have Braithwaite back next year but the forward is hoping to return even before the year ends. It’s a real possibility.
