The Barcelona midfielder will sign a new contract until 2026

No one has any doubts that Gavi will renew his contract with Futbol Club Barcelona. For that reason, there's no rush to close his new deal. The midfielder is out of contract in 2023 after signing his first professional deal when he turned 16. His contract was already worth more than his contemporaries at La Masia because his performances had deserved it.

According to the show Tot Costa, the plan is that his new terms will have a clause similar to the one included in Ansu Fati and Pedri's contract extensions, €1 billion, and that he signs for five years, until 2026. The club are aware Gavi wants to succeed at Camp Nou and there will be no problem with that. The club also want to reward him for his stunning breakout season.

Gavi has made 13 appearances for Barça this season across LaLiga and the Champions League and four times for Spain after becoming his country's youngest-ever player last month. Nine of his Barça games have been from the start, whole all four La Roja appearances have been as a starter.
