The right-back feels it was the right decision to sign for the Catalan club
Sergiño Dest gave an interview to 'Voetbal International' in which he replied to those who said he'd moved to Barcelona too soon in his career.
The United States international full-back made the comparison of learning Spanish to argue why his decision was the right one when it came to leaving Ajax this summer.
"There are some people that say I left for Barça too soon," he said. "But it's like learning Spanish. You improve quicker if you move to Spain. Well, it's the same with football. At Barça, I can grow and reach a higher level quicker."
Meanwhile, in another interview with CBS, Dest said it was "a pleasure to play in the Clasico" despite the loss against Real Madrid in an empty Camp Nou.
