Todibo and Dembele return to Barcelona training one week early
The French duo are back in work waiting for the return of their teammates
Jean-Clair Todibo and Ousmane Dembele are both back in Barcelona training one week early as they look to get in shape for the new season.
Central defender Todibo, 19, posted an image on social media on Tuesday morning of the French duo in action at the Ciutat Esportiva on Monday.
Barcelona later confirmed the two are back in work, with the majority of the squad not due back in until Sunday at the earliest. Others, depending on their international commitments over the last few weeks, will return even later.
Todibo and Dembele are aware that competition for places is going to be high this season. The former Toulouse defender is looking to break into the team -- pending what happens with Matthijs de Ligt -- and is competing with Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti.

Dembele, who has had injuries problems in each of his two seasons with the club, hopes to be able to play more regularly this season. However, the imminent arrival of Antoine Griezmann and the possible return of Neymar could have an effect on his minutes.
For that reason, both players have wanted to get ahead of the game, returning to preseason early and looking to get in good shape for the new campaign.
