Thomas Vermaelen will be out for six weeks with hamstring injury
The Belgian got injured playing for his country against Switzerland
Thomas Vermaelen is out for six weeks. That’s the diagnostic given by FC Barcelona on Monday after running tests on the Belgian centre-back.
Vermaelen suffered a hamstring injury in his right leg during the Belgium game against Switzerland on Friday. He felt pain and asked to be substituted.
Barcelona will lose him until late November, meaning he missed the three consecutive matches against Sevilla, Inter Milan and Real Madrid at Camp Nou which could make or break the season.
