Thomas Meunier still on Barcelona's list for a right-back
The club need a player for the position after what we have seen this season
Barca have struggled to fill their right-back slot. After Sergino Dest was loaned to Milan, Hector Bellerin did not fit and was given a free transfer and Jules Kounde has largely played there, even though he wants to play at centre-back. Ronald Araujo has also been used there, as has left-back Alejandro Balde or midfielder Sergi Roberto.
“Patches” that invite us to think about the arrival of a specialist to take the role in the next sporting project. There are many names, but there will be little money, so the two favourites to come - Pavard and Foyth - are losing ground due to price. The Frenchman is now close to renewing his contract with Bayern and the Argentinian could leave Villarreal, but they are demanding his termination clause to sell.
Barça have a long list of possible full-back options and the one who always remains is the Belgian defender Thomas Meunier. He could leave Dortmund at a very affordable price, he is the ideal age to give two years of good performance, he wants to come and both the sporting and personal reports are excellent.
