This is Barcelona’s worst start to a season since then. After 10 games, Ronald Koeman’s side have a pitiful 14 points and are 12 behind leaders Atletico Madrid.
Real Sociedad are 10 points ahead and Real Madrid six points ahead, but both have played one extra game. Even the Champions League places are six points away, the Europa League is four points away and the new conference league, two points.
Barca have won four games, drawn two and lost four, sporting a pathetic away record of four points from five games.
They won 3-0 at Celta in their first game, but since then they have a 1-0 defeat at Getafe, a 1-1 draw in Vitoria, a 1-0 defeat by Atletico and now this new Cadiz face smack.
They’ve also only scored two away goals in 360 minutes, Griezmann against Alaves and Alcala’s own goal last night.
